Last month, I had the privilege of joining 余幼幼 Yu Yoyo, A.K. Blakemore, and the Poetry Translation Centre for several events around the UK to launch My Tenantless Body, a bilingual collection of Yu’s poetry. I was overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of the readers we met in Liverpool, Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds, and Deptford, and it was a thrill to finally meet the poets I had been collaborating with remotely for such a long time. I’m delighted with the collection itself, which is available from the Poetry Translation Centre. Several poems are also available as podcasts (“Stay”, “Sleepwalking” and “Dad”) and you can also read the two poems by 小安 Xiao An that we translated at the workshop in London: “to lost friends” and “you want to eat the sun”.
